PRODUCT FORMULATION AND SOLUTIONS

At African Food Industries (AFI) we create customised products and formulations tailored to customer needs and requirements.

We provide solutions through cost-efficient supply chains, value analysis, and engineering, while ensuring market driven products meet quality standards.

Research & Development​

Synercore backs research and development initiatives by partnering with Innovative Research Solutions (IRS) and leading international universities. The focus is on creating innovative products and technologies.

Contract blending

(FSSC 22000 Certified)

Synercore’s Allmark Foods focuses on “blend & pack” for the food industry, meeting strict safety standards. They mix dry, wet, or paste ingredients and package them in customized batches. Allmark Foods in Pretoria has FSSC 22000 accreditation, and the Cape Town facility is upgrading to the ISO 22000 standard. Allergen and material control is ensured in the blending rooms and warehouses.

EXTRUSION

Sizwe Foods – Sizwe presents a diverse range of processing capabilities for cereals, encompassing soy, oats, sorghum, and more. Our expertise includes micronisation (popping) and extrusion techniques, specifically tailored for the food and FMCG industries. Other products include starch for food processors as well as cost effective products ideal for Socio Corporate Responsibility. Sizwe offers customisable products and blends, providing personalised solutions required.

Consultation

Synercore consults on projects from ideation to commercial launch, and assists customers with the implementation of new products and processes. In the food industry, our skilled team of food scientists, formulators, and technical sales remain at the forefront of research, trends, and solutions.

SUPPLIER OF SPECIALTY INGREDIENTS

Synercore partners with top global ingredient suppliers offering specialised ingredient solutions to the South African market. Through such selected partnerships and joint ventures, Synercore is able to deliver these products to the local market, while providing technical support and stellar service to customers.

MILLING

Impilo Products – Soya bean processors with separate controls and processing for non-GMO lines. Our non-GMO soya bean processing includes separate controls. Our main product line is full fat, enzyme active soya flour, enhancing baked goods’ softness, shelf-life, and quality. Soya flour is also utilised in health bars, sauces, soups, and infant food. Our products meet FSSC 22000 quality standards and hold Halal and Kosher certifications.
